How the week works
What you actually need to know
Salt Week has no site, no shuttle and no queue for a second stage. It is a town that clears its rooms for a week.

One wristband, four doors
A week wristband gets you into The Saltings, the Assembly Rooms, the Old Bathhouse and the Lifeboat Shed, on any night, as often as you like. Capacity is per room: when a room is full it is full, and you walk to the next one.

Nothing is far
The Saltings to the Assembly Rooms is four minutes. The Assembly Rooms to the Old Bathhouse is seven. The Lifeboat Shed is three minutes beyond that. End to end is twelve minutes, flat, lit, and along the sea wall.

Talks in the afternoon
Two every weekday at the Assembly Rooms, from two o'clock, seated, three hundred places, first come. Included with any wristband and 00 on the door if you have not got one.

Camping is off the front
Hollow Field is a twenty-minute walk or a four-minute bus from the quay, opens on the Sunday before, and closes at noon on the Monday after. Book it with your wristband, not on the gate.

The last day is free
Sunday on the Green is open to the town and to anybody who walks in. Twelve until eight, six acts, the Saltmarsh Brass Band at the end, and no wristband checked at any point.

It will probably rain
It is a coast in September. Everything except the Sunday is indoors and happens whatever the weather. If the Sunday is called off, it moves into The Saltings and stays free.

Fourteen hundred of them. The last four years they have gone by the end of May, and there is no release on the gate.
